• “Excellent food and service”. We visited this charming country pub early on a Sunday evening.When we arrived we were seated promptly and we ordered wine. The menu was local and full of vibrant dishes. I had the Chicken and Chorizo salad and and my partner had the burger. My dish was amazing, the best meal ive had in a long time, my partners was divine as well, hes a big guy and he could barely finish the colossal burger! Staff were courteous and attentive, food locally sourced and delicious.

• “Great local village pub serving excellent food!" We read in the courier that had been re-furnished and had a new menu so we thought we would give it another go so we did and really enjoyed the whole experience from the welcome like we was his best friend to the food and drink to the new way of service taking your order on an iPad so order instant to the kitchen. So a great public house to eat and drink in, with a modern decor and feeling to it. It's a credit to the staff and the manager.

• 6 of us went and had a birthday meal, a wide range to choose from on the menu and all 6 of us enjoyed it. The staff are very friendly and the pub and restaurant is done up to a lovely standard, in keeping with where it is situated. Really worth a visit.

• This has always been a commendable restaurant. Changes in management in the past few years has led to a different ambience as the development of a classy interior reaches The final staged completion it has become warm and welcoming. They have used clever lighting with seating in stepped sections to retain the cozy ambience. Decoration aside the food was excellent before with humongous portions. You wont be disappointed by the selection now.

• Superb food and fantastic atmosphere. My Husband and I visited at lunchtime today. We chose just to have 2 starters from the main menu and they we're to die for. I had the Bury Black Pudding that came on a bed of chopped bacon salad with a whole grain mustard dressing and my Husband chose the stuffed mushrooms with a mustard dressing. Can highly recommend. Staff very pleasant and we felt very welcome. Ambience wonderful and lots of folk dining at Lunch time so that says a lot.

• “Wonderful food in lovely atmosphere”. We Went with some friends to The Punchbowl and it has been about a year since we were last there. We were greeted with warm smiles and friendly service by all the staff and the Landlord. The food was fantastic. The starters where plentiful and the mains were too. Can't wait to go back again. We all loved it. No complaints from our table. Would certainly recommend people to go who want a well cooked meal and appreciate good food.
